About Me

My background

I am a small business owner, managing and maintaining residential buildings that my husband and I own. We have four long-term rental units and have also done short-term rentals. We are big “Do It Yourself-ers”.

My husband and I have lived in RI for the last 33 years. We lived in Newport for almost 20 years and Middletown for 13 years. My husband’s career has always been here in Rhode Island.

We have 2 mortgages, added 3 Rhode Islanders to the population, and gave 2 cats a wonderful life. Our children have been educated in public school, home school, and private school. We volunteered in the schools and have been leaders for local Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts.

I served on the Middletown Planning Board (2017-2018), so I know a thing or two about the Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Code.

I served on Middletown Town Council (2018-2022). In 2018 I was elected with the second highest vote count and in 2020 was re-elected with the highest vote count.

I also served on Governor McKee's 100-Day Transition Committee Education Policy Sub-Group (March-June 2021)

During my 4 years on Town Council, I served on 9 different committees. I believe in term limits and chose not to run in 2022 so there would be a vacant seat for someone else to have a chance to represent the people and add a new voice, fresh energy and a different perspective to the decision-making conversations.
